However, large cases make specific demands on materials, especially in terms of stability and strength. Normal plastics are not up to the job. So for our standard range, PLASTON uses high-quality ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). The excellent characteristics of this fascinating material include its high resistance to shock and its surface toughness. Despite its low weight, the material is shatterproof, maintains its shape and withstands a temperature range between –40° C to +100° C. ABS is environmentally friendly, too – it is 100% recyclable.
